Crown Place, Portsmouth

Portsmouth One marked our third collaboration with CSL, a new-build, 20-storey PBSA development and one of the largest in their portfolio at the time, providing 576 bed spaces. Distinct from our previous refurbishment projects together, this scheme presented the opportunity to create a fresh, contemporary interior concept from the ground up.

Drawing subtle inspiration from Portsmouth’s coastal setting, the design references the city’s rich maritime heritage through refined material choices and layered textures, avoiding overt theming in favour of sophistication and authenticity.

The building offers a comprehensive range of shared amenity spaces, including a welcoming reception, study room, gym, and games area at ground level, alongside a first-floor lounge, servery, dining room, cinema, and additional study rooms, each designed to encourage connection, wellbeing, and a strong sense of community.
